Paper.io is a real-time multiplayer territory conquest game developed by VOODOO, available on web browsers, iOS, and Android. It’s part of the "io" genre of games, which are known for their fast-paced, competitive, and highly addictive nature. The core goal of Paper.io is to claim as much territory as possible while defending your own space and eliminating opponents.
Gameplay Mechanics
At the start of the paper io game, you control a colored square or "block" that moves smoothly over a grid-based map. As you move, your block leaves behind a trail in your color. The area enclosed by your trail becomes part of your territory once you loop back and connect to your already-owned space.
But there's a twist: while you're drawing your trail, you're vulnerable. If another player crosses your trail before you return to your territory, you're eliminated. Conversely, you can eliminate other players by intercepting their trails before they close the loop. |
